Biography

Regina von Arx was born on February 4 in Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Writer and plastic artist, she became interested in poetry at the age of 17, when she started to write her first book, named "À flor da pele" (Sensibility).
Fond of freedom, if she weren't a woman, she would be an eagle, floating above her dreams. Pursuing her dreams, in 1987 she moved to Switzerland, where she started dedicating body and soul to the art.
Regina lives in Basel since 17 years. Thus her work is quite futuristic, such as the artist.
Actually she is member and representant from Rebra (Rede de Escritoras Brasileiras) www.rebra.org and coordinator of the Project (IPU) Instituto da Poesia Universal www.ferol.info, in Switzerland.
Regina describes her work as "The song of the soul", whose lyrics return to our mind when dedicating ourselves to the regeneration of our spirit. She has participated in 3 exhibits and three of her books have been published: À flor da pele (Sensibility), Espelhos (Mirrors) and Vícios (Vices). Feeling bothered with the social differences in her country, her purpose of life is a project on Assistance for Destitute Children.
